Comments:

Well, it's like this:  Half way thru the contest, my Pro II blew its output
amplifier.  It took 3 hours to get my 706 out of the car (through a DRIVING rain
storm)and interfaced into my station.  STILL can't figure out how to set up the
ALC and SEND out of the Accessory Jack in the 706 to drive the amplifier.  Had
to push the transmit button on the 756 while simultaneously stepping on the foot
switch for the 706.  WHAT A RIOT!  I blew my rates after that..."I coulda been a
contender!"

The most impressive thing I heard during this contest is HG6N give up his
frequency he had for 3 plus hours because a OX3 station, not able to hear him
came on nearby.  That's what Amateur Radio is all about.  My hat's off to the
operator at the SALGOTARJANI VAROSI RADIOKLUb on Sunday at 1908z!

Learnd alot, I'm relatively new at this, looking forward to next year...

P.S. How much time do we waste in these contests waiting for a station to
announce his/her call instead of "QRZ?"
