This was our first Field Day operation for many years.
We operated from a campsite at Parson House Outdoor Centre
near Sheffield. We used an FT1000MP with Linear and an FT897
for second receiver. Aerials were a Force 12 C-3SS at 12 metres for
20m, 15m and 10m and dipoles for 80m and 40m.
10m was very quiet. 20m and 15m were full of All Asia contesters, not
all of whom were prepared to participate with Field Day. 40m was mayhem.
For many of our operators this was a first attempt at contest operation.
