Comments:

Congrats to Dean (8P6SH) for his excellent effort as 8P2K. Despite having more
than 300 Q's and nearly 30 mults more, I could not offset his QSO point total.
His average was nearly 3 points per QSO and mine was only 2. But WPX is the
kind of contest where location is more important than anything else. It was
great to see Dean do so well.

I had another great contest - nothing broke! I had decided going back to low
power this year after doing high power last year. My strength is low power and
I seem to enjoy it more.

Highlight of the contest was having CN8KD call me on 80 meters. That contact
ranks right up there with some of my all-time great RTTY contest QSO's - like
working VK6HD longpath on 40 meters at 5 pm in the afternoon during the 2001
JARTS or breaking a JA pileup on 40 meters to work VK9XN in the 1993 JARTS.
These are contacts I'll never forget. Thanks Mohamed!

80 meters was in great shape, probably better than 40 on the first night. At my
first break, I had only 25 more contacts on 40 than I did on 80.

Thanks to everyone for the QSO's! Lots of 5-band contacts too.

73, Don AA5AU
