Comments:

This was the first contest here operating multi-two, and it was a hit.
Multi-single in the ARRL is not much fun for the mult station, so we decided to
maximize the entertainment value and go for it. This was only possible because
of the great group of operators.

Kevin, K7ZS, first here Friday (with Airstream in driveway), and the last to
leave Sunday. When not running on almost every band with high rates, he gave
Spud Gun antenna launching lessons off the deck! Maybe less hair spray next time
(in the spud gun).

Jim, KI7Y, parked his truck and camper in the driveway, but spent the late night
on 80m asleep at the mike and still working every mult! Unbelievable!

Dave, K7JI, provided the second station with his MP 1000 and Alpha 87A, banana
and walnut pancakes both mornings, made almost every 160 contact, battled on 40,
and filmed the whole affair, all at the same time!

Paul, K7PN, for once no need for tower climbing during the contest, so out in
the shop with me constructing the late additions to the station. When operating,
he would only work KL7’s. He put the potato in the pond at 100 yards, a
ringer!

Denis, K7GK, provider of gourmet snacks (salmon lox, micro beer, chocolates),
band pass filters, and incredible operating. Multi-lingual, and from the
Ukraine, Denis had the DX stations feeling right at home, except when speaking
Russian to the South Americans!   

Mark, W7ZB, Mr. 15 meters, when multiple stations called, he worked them all at
the same time. He brought more enthusiasm than the gray box could put out, with
the rig in standby, he was 30db over in VK!

Hank, KR7X, Mr. 20 meters, arrived at 6:00 AM both mornings and made the band
open up. Wouldn’t get out of the chair until Europe was faint, then he would
pull out the smelling salts! He sang the call here (a mouthful) the likes of
Pavarotti, adjacent signals
 just seemed to move off!

Al, K7AR, when he wasn’t running on all bands, some very rare mults would drift
in from the dinning room. Some were logged, but we determined later they were
unique calls, and all were deleted, attributed to Al’s many vocal
impersonations, and his mastery of ventriloquism.

The most important operator this weekend was Ruth, who had everything under
control. Rather than leave for the weekend, she consciously spent it here
hosting, in her words, “this fantastic group of guys”. Let’s do it again!
