Comments:
I had a great time. I find it hard to be competitive in the DX tests with my
limited antennas, so I decided I would just focus on having fun. Worked about
19 hours here & there between other activities. Mostly tried to be on where &
when I thought I could run stateside. Didn't worry a bit about multipliers,
just followed the rate. Bad strategy score-wise but made for some exciting
runs.
Highlights:
- my first contest log with over 1000 QSO's
- two 70+ hours on 160M
- a short, but intense Sunday afternoon run on 20M where the ratemeter hit 250,
and stayed above 200 for 10 minutes+
- the finish on 40M, with a solid 126 QSO hour, which is now my personal best
hour on CW.
Thanks for all the QSO's guys. It was a blast.
CU next time,
Chris VA3NR
