Comments:

Mobile in SDGO, RIV, SBER, LAX and KERN.  70,000 of the above points were for
KERN County. All CW was from KERN County. Had a very nice opening on 10 CW. I
think I worked every VE3 that was on 10. Like a spotlight to VE3..My average was
1 QSO per Mile! Is that a new way to measure rate. Driving down the highway
doing CW and SSB I sometimes looked like Katheryn Hepburn in a helicopter. Way
toooo much going on in the car sending, talking, logging (a steno pad) and
'driving the car'...Spent most of my time on State Hwy 58 from Boron to Mojave.
Saw the 'Space Ship' in front of the hanger at Mojave. I drove under a 747 and a
DC-10. They must have thought I was security because of my big Outbacker on the
trunk of the car. Later I was doing 70mph on Hwy 58 and got passed by a Henry J
that was towing a trailer! Got lost on a little side road and saw a house with a
stripped out F-111 in the front yard. Love those High Desert people! I used to
be one when I worked at Edwards AFB in the 60's...Don't ever do a 1x1 call
mobile. The CW guys got it, but a lot of the appliance operators freaked out. I
had guys telling me that the word 'mobile' was not a good phoenic for the letter
