Comments:

I knew I'd miss hearing K4AAA and K4OJ, but when N6TR didn't appear I was
worried. Tree, I'm glad you were enjoying yourself up north. Whew!

I got a great start with 20 QSOs in 10 minutes. And, just like many sprinters
in the Olympics, I ran on as other competitors caught, passed, and pulled away
from me.
N2NT really blew my sox off our second QSO with a healthy lead. Nice job,
Andy! Then I worked N9RV, K5ZD, N5TJ among others and realized my "legs" just
weren't turning over fast enough to finish anywhere near the top.
As 20 seemed to slow down, there was no clear transition to 40 so I made more
band changes than usual for my SO1R effort. The 3rd hour was especially tough,

and a quick try of 80 was unconvincing it would be any better. But the last
hour bore better fruit on the low band and I managed to finish over the 300 mark
again. Hour rates were 93/75/69/76.
The multiplier "gods" were good to me again, allowing me to work most mults
heard without too much extra effort. KL7 took a bit of fishing, and I sweated
missing NC after hearing it on. SC was a pleasant surprise as was ME and DE.
VE9DX was heard starting a QSO and never heard again. I never heard KP4. I
wonder what the full complement of mults available was? Of the main NA mults I
missed: AL, AR, NE, RI, UT, VT, VE1, VE2, VE4, VE5, VE6, VE8.

Congratulations to Bob, N6TV, for being the only Left coaster in the Top Ten.

Thanks to all for another CW Sprint. The best 4 hours of contesting ham radio
has to offer!

David Hodge, N6AN
