Comments:

Big numbers on 10! Could have been better if people would have just gone there.
At least there was an opening between Texas and the southeast with some strong
signals but no one was there when it was happening except for a few locals in NC
and FL having their daily ragchew sessions. Several loud signals on 15m from
various areas of the country but again people were just not there. Only 75 qsos
on 15m for the first 5 hours or so made for some frustration...but it was
relaxed frustration. Can't work stuff if it does not call. So we just set
auto-cq and sat back in the chair waiting for someone to answer.
New call listed on the op list (N5NMX). This is my 10-year-old daughter Rachel
who spent at least 8 of the 12 hours in the shack. She listened for band
openings which made her part of the operating crew. She was issued my old
callsign on Friday.
Low bands pretty noisy as usual. It took some time to pull some of the guys in
the noise through. Some we just had to give up on.
Thanks to everyone who made those quick qsy's for us.
Funniest moment: Hearing someone still calling "cq contest" 15 minutes after
the contest was over.
Most irritating moment(s): Having someone give me "59 and state", I ask for
their name but they are already gone. Having someone start telling me a joke
about Dick, Jane and their dog Spot. Having people call without phonetics so
fast and unclear that we cannot understand what they are saying.
Most happy moment: Have my daughter gain interest in this hobby!!!

73,
Bob NX5M, Mike N5XJ, Colin KU5B, Rachel N5NMX
