Talk about limited time operation, how does one hour sound!

Rough going with a 110' long, ladder-line fed doublet and a 100 watt rig. I bet
that 10' of coax between the Balun at the termination of the ladder-line and my
antenna tuner was too hot to touch!! Some big-time SWR. My best DX was
Ontario!!! If you were not S9+ you could not hear me, how frustrating. For the
CQ version I will have my inverted L up, and more radials this year. 

I was actually amazed at the activity. Even in mid afternoon there were stations
calling CQ, and getting answers!
