My first SO2R experience;
RU is probably not the best contest to really measure the SO2R bonus (too few
mults), and of course I did a few beginner's mistakes; but has been a good
trial...
To be honnest, I am not sure that it really boosted my score, but I learned...
which was the main purpose of the experience(*).

Conditions have been very poor on 15 with no JA's, no VK/ZL - not even 9M2/G4ZFE
;-) - and very few W's ! Fortunately 20m has been better on the second day with
good condx to W6/7.
40m (especialy the first night) has been quite poor, but on the other hand
transatlantic condx on 80m have been excellent.

Thanks everybody for the Q's and see you soon in another one !
and... Happy new year
Patrick

(*)My SO2R approach, is kind of "minimalist" with everything done by 1 PC and
N1MM software. The 2 MMTTY instances are running on the same soundcard and I do
not use any dedicated hardware: Antennas and filters are changed manualy (only
investment BNC connectors everywhere needed !). Just making use of what was
already available...
My main problem: antenna separation... the power picked-up by the second pair of
dipoles when transmitting on the first one is kind of "frightening" but the
BP-filters do their job nicely and except the classical 7040 to 14080
H2-interference, limited RX sensitivity degradation is experienced when
transmitting on the opposite station... So far the best second antenna is the
R7, not a terrific contest antenna by itself, but the cross-interferences are
lower...
My conclusion : I need a second beam...
