I have not done very many single op efforts in this contest over the
years - most of my efforts have been multi-two efforts. A few years ago
I got on for about 8 hours just playing around and that was when I
found out that this contest has really grown. 200+ hours are
now possible, a fact that I find both amazing and fantastic.
I was not really sure how I was going to manage the offtimes but I
just hung on as long as the rate was really good - this had me
operating for almost the first eight hours of the contest before
my first offtime. The rest of the contest was spent trying to
get some mults on 80 and 160 and taking my offtime.
10 meters was just not happening here but everytime I
tuned past K7RL on 10 meters he seemed to be running quite well.
Congrats to all K7RL on a FB effort and to all the great scores
from K9PG, K4XS, N6MJ, K6LL and everyone that I am missing or
forgetting.
