Comments:

Modest portable operation from my new lot, EM85wb in upstate South Carolina
using FT-817 and 5W/5el at 19' on 50MHz, 80W/10el at 22' on 144, and 80W/16el at
24' on 432.  Unfortuately the top of the hill 100-150 yards away was about 15
feet higher than my antennas from NNE, north, thru west.  Six was disappointing-
only made 2 Es contacts.  Highlight was working K2TXB on 144 at 522 miles.  I
hope to be back in Septermber with antennas high enough to get over the hill and
some of the trees, probably with a 50' tower, and adding 222 and maybe 1296.  
Had a great time in my little travel trailer operating on the east coast first
time since the W2CRS days back in 1968-1988.
