Comments:

The score includes 1260 bonus points for the following: emergency power, media
publicity, set-up in public place, information booth, NTS message to SCM,
handling one (1) formal NTS message, W1AW FD message, satellite QSO, site visit
by an invited served agency official, GOTA station with 100 QSOs, demonstration
of APRS and ATV, and submittal via web applet.

What a difference a year makes! In 2004 our site was under about 2 feet of water
and this year was the driest June on record for this area. Having been flooded
out in 2004 the group was chomping at the bit to return to the high activity
level of 2003. Under the able leadership of Keith, NM5G, most every goal for the
event was met.

A few highlights:

1. Tom KD5EIJ's Bar-B-Que and Christie Richards' trimmings -- delicious.
2. Visit by Red Cross Disaster Relief Vehicle, one of only nine in the country.
Several TQP mobile regulars were heard attempting to reserve it for TQP but to
no avail!
3. Team leader ARRL FD tee-shirts with embroidered call sign and name.
4. No accidents.
5. Cal, WF5W, rapping out QSO after QSO on a straight key while logging manually
with the other hand.
6. Enthusiasm of a couple of newby operators when six meters opened to the
midwest.
7. Comaraderie and team work of all participants
8. Did I mention the Bar-B-Que and trimmings?

Thanks to all for the QSOs,

73/Chuck/NO5W
