Comments:

The sunspot cycle has progressed to the point where the interesting contacts are
few and far between on 10 meters.  There was a smattering of Europeans and JAs
in the log which was a surprise at these flux levels.

Only  made 32 contacts and 9 mults the first night.  Band closed early and I
drove home for some Zs.  Most interesting first night  Q:

My first Q the next day was at 13:28Z almost 7:30 local.  (No need to set the
alarm to wake up!)  Things were progressing very slowly with the high beam
pointing east. I heard someone just above my frequency and was surprised that he
was a reasonably loud European. I worked him before moving down a couple of
hz:

I kept up the calling, but no more Europe. Weird!  Some nice Qs with the beam
pointed toward South America:

In the evening I occasionally would turn the high antenna straight north and it
paid off once:

Surprisingly the band sort of opened to JA skew path with the high beam pointed
west.  First JA:

A total of 23 Jas were worked in the contest. All on skew path.

On Sunday morning the band opened even later.  I finally started hearing CN2R
after 1400.  Europeans worked:
