Comments:

We enjoyed the whole thing - wacky, spotless conditions and all . . . thanks for
all the QSOs. With the last-minute news that one of our regulars couldn't make
it, we were thrilled that K1MM decided to come out of contesting retirement to
give us a hand. When Bill responded to my email, he asked if K is still
constructed with "a long one, a short one and then another long one". Once he
sat in the chair, it didn't take him long to get the whole alphabet right.

KT1V, what a performance! You guys really read the prop well and took full
advantage of it. Congrats on the super score.

Thanks to the whole K1IR Team - those who operated [great job Lars, Scott and
Bill] and those who supported the operation in other ways. Like W1VE and K1LZ,
who came over a couple of weeks ago [during SS Phone] and helped install an 80m
four-square in about six hours. That antenna rocked. And my wife, Sue, who made
everyone feel welcome and comfortable for the weekend.

Another note of appreciation to our M/S competitors to the west - W2FU and K8AZ.
We chat frequently before and after these big events. We see each other in
Dayton every year. It's a real pleasure to develop great relationships through
long-standing, friendly competition.

73 to all,

Jim K1IR

PS Two years ago, K4JA and I organized a M/S and M/2 dinner in Dayton on Friday
night. We had about 25 team members representing N3RS, K8AZ, W3BGN, K4JA and
K1IR. It was a great time. If anybody out there is interested in doing that
again, let me know!
