Comments:

Many thanks to John Evans, N3HBX, for letting us take his brand new station for
a spin! Also, thanks to our host David Evans and Ender (puppy security!).

This was a great operating group...too bad conditions were so terrible.
Rol (K3RA) and John (N3HBX) basically operated during the day and Masa
(AJ3M) and I (KD4D) at night. John and I did the last five hours or so.

What terrible conditions! I don't usually watch K indexes, but I don't ever
remember seeing a K index of 9 during a contest! Congratulations to NO2R
for a GREAT total on 80 meters the first night.

We hung in there. We were on the entire 48 hours...even though we went
over four hours without a single QSO! Ugh...

The new station works very well. The 80 meter antenna is still a dipole, but the
rest of the antennas are up. We lost one amplifier during the contest. Also, we
used N1MM Logger for the first time (for any of us). It stayed up the entire
weekend...after some initial problems which we found before the contest, it
basically just worked. I was particularly impressed with the serial number
server which worked flawlessly.
