Comments:

I spent 2.5 hours on Friday night and 2.5 hours on Saturday night giving out
a few 59-SC's. I had a nice run on Friday night on 1893 with 340 Q's in
the log. Conditions seemed good but the QRN was building due to a storm system
to the west of me. On Saturday night, the only place I could find to CQ was at

1960... thanks to all that ventured up into that rare atmosphere to make a
contact. I was surprised that several europeans called me on that frequency as
I was under the impression that within europe, the band ended at 1900. I guess
I was wrong. I did hear many europeans lower in the band with decent signals but
there was simply no opportunity to call as I would have disrupted whomever was
calling CQ on that frequency. There were some open spaced below 1843 for CQers
but I had mixed feelings about going down there due to the 'gentlemen's
agreement' band plan. I do admit that I worked a couple of DX stations below
1843. There was plenty of room up at the top end of the band. By 0300Z on
Sunday, the QRN was so bad that I pulled the switch. Sure was fun.
