Comments:
What a blast!! I made a serious tactical error with my limited time. I was only
on for 2 hr of the first 4 hr of the contest, and spent 1 full hour of that on
15 M. I should have been on 20 M. I did not get in the chair again for good till
0213 UTC, and by then missed all of 20 M and lots of the 40 M crowd.
I was DELIGHTED with my 160 M antenna. I threw-up an inverted L, about 50'
vertical and the rest sloping down to 20' or so, with one 135' radial and my 80
M vertical radial bed (all 8 radials). This took my (and my 9 year old daughter)
about 1 hour to put up, and I was amazed at how it worked. I wish there was more
160 M activity, but this is inspiration for the 160 M test.
Thanks for all the QSOs, and to my PVRC teammate, Jay, NS3T, for shuffling me
around for MD on all 6 bands! This contest, and the NA Sprints, are the
highlight of my contesting year. Maybe by next time I will get the TS-520S fired
up and try some SO2R for the first time!!
