Another quality experience high above the Columbia River.

Thanks again to Brad & Ruth at Smoke Ranch! Beautiful QTH, wonderful people,
great food! See his station: http://www.k7zsd.com

First, congratulations to the Oregon boys, (NK7U*KL9A, N6TR) and thanks for the
proper throttling. Surely I deserved it coming from Chris, as I stopped at NK7U
in route to K7ZSD, leaving him with some heavy trash-talk babble, but I've never
crossed Tree!

Seriously, that was alot of fun! I felt loud on all bands. The station ran
flawlessly. My score improved from last years effort by approx 100 Q's. My
SO2R game is completely over hauled & I'm feeling competitive in that
department.

So what was the problem? Timing & LACK OF RATE. Worked that 2nd Radio 'til it
smoked, but couldn't get any real runs, and the rate shows it.

Also, I tend to milk way too long and in a 12 hour test, that's a no no.

This is fixable, because I'm not willing to settle for Top 25! There is always
next year, and I'll be there "behind every static crash"!

Thanks to KD0S for SD on 40-160.

Happy New Year everyone, may your contest season shine bright!
See you in the Sprints.
