Comments:

Shared the W6YX shack with the VHF contest and also planned to share the HF
antennas with a M/2 entry in the NAQP that didn't materialize. Doing a
single-op for the first time from a big station made me appreciate the skills,
knowledge, and endurance of the top gun contesters and was a great learning
experience.

Seemingly poor propagation to the northeastern states on all bands throughout
the day seemed to hurt the total Q's and the mult's for me. Current solar
conditions also prompted much of the activity to move to the lower frequencies
well before these bands were prime for the west coast, which tended to reduce
QRM as more easterly stations kept moving lower but also reduced my rate.

Good times when Rusty W6OAT and Jerry K6III went through all the bands with
me.

Thanks to Risto W6RK for coming in before his family obligations began to set up
properly the 160 feedline to the double-L that he and Dave AA6XV had prepared
for the CW contest last week.

73, Mark K6OWL
