Comments:

What a great contest! This was the first time since 1999 that I actually had
time to do a full contest as a SO. With the fun I had with N7ON doing M/2 in
NAQP CW…..I was motivated to see how the new station would work with SO2R. I
re-arranged the antennas from the other operating positions and set up the two
MARK V’s for SO2R with the ZS4TX SCKII (Which is awesome!)

Many huge signals on 15 about 30 minutes after the start of the contest as well
as 20. Tried moving mults from 20 to 15…but just wasn’t there. Went to 40
around 2:30 PM and was pretty quiet….Tried a bit later around 3:30 – 4 PM and
found a great frequency to call CQ. Had one of my best runs ever in that 1 hour
period.

On most bands it sounded like we had a pipeline to the east coast and Midwest.
Working Washington/California as well as Maine / Vermont was pretty interesting.
Still need to work on moving Mults, but the rates were so good I thought I
could make up for some of the missing Mults.

The “Mega-Sig” Award goes to W9RE….Pretty Much loud everywhere Mike!!

Its amazing how much fun you can really have with 100 watts when the band is
there. Great to hear all the old friends on as well.

Antennas: M2’d 20M5, 15M6, 10M7, KT36XA, 402CD, 80 & 160 Inv Vee
