Comments:

Much to my frustration, since I really quite like this contest, I could only get
12 hours in the chair. When you know you are part-time and you know you are not
competative it is harder to deal with the QRM, deliberate or otherwise, and oh
boy was there plenty of both.
My brain-dead approach to this event meant I 'forgot' to listen up late on
Sunday pm on 80m so apologies to those who may have missed a mult. I did get a
'listen up' call at one minute to go....too late!

I have mentioned this before but will do so again for anyone who is
interested.....with the increasing use of digital / recorded info for CQ and
exchanges it is imperative that everyone pays attention to the readability of
their sent messages; some are absolutely dreadful. In the same vein I find it
sometimes very hard to figure out what is happening when running guys and the
(recorded) exchange I get is obviously made by a different voice from the one
that got through the pile-up in the first place. Add in some splatter, QRM and
QSB and you are never sure who you are working or if someone else is running on
your frequency.
This game is about communication.......some basic rules are frequently
forgotten.
OK....moaning over!
Happy contesting
Keith GM4YXI (GM7V)
