Put up a 5 ele. hygain 10 meter yagi on a 40 foot tower Friday, assembled the
station on the kitchen table and went to dinner. Came home at 6:50 and fired up
the laptop. Worked a few qsos on 15-80 meters, woke up at sunrise and waited for
10 to open. Took awhile but had a few stations on to keep things interesting.
Surprised to work the stuff I did with 100 watts and small ant. height. Sure
couldve used an amplifier, spent long periods calling stations over and over.
Best thing was to find the good dx before they were spotted, this happened only
twice with 5H3EE and 3B8/OM0M. Lots of work to do here on the station, 73's and
