Comments:

Thanks to Mike, VE3GRL, got up a HF6V-X moments before the contest. Just ground
mounted it 10 feet behind the house and put in a ground rod down a couple of
feet (absolute necessity). Worked 90 per cent of the contest with it and very
pleased with 80 meter performance as 80 was always my weakest band. Antenna is
now mounted on chainlink fence that runs hundreds of feet along a creekbed at
the back of the property. Trees don't seem to detune the antenna too much and
it sounds great on 30 meters.
