Great time and lots of fun! Getting back into the swing of things with the CW
thing after so many years of working strictly SSB. Friday night was excellent
with great conditions and stable band conditions. Nice unexpected opening to
JA's early in the morning on Saturday. Managed to work a handful and looked for
VK's/ZL's to show as well. Did have at least one VK station call but never did
manage to hear well enough to work.

Conditions changed dramatically for Saturday night/Sunday morning as the band
was like a well oiled door, with the band moving rapidly from wide open to
completely closed in a matter of seconds. Often sounded like listening to a
seashell stuck to you ear. East Coast conditions were really down early Sunday
morning, which is very unusual from this QTH, making it a challange to work
some of the folks back East. I know from past experience that many oftentimes
wonder why I have what some of them have called, "a booming signal", yet
struggle to be able to hear them. Lots of DX to be had, and was fortunate
enought to work some ZL's and a few more JA's in the early morning hours on
Sunday. Many stations calling but unfortunately between fluxuating conditions
and some over-jealous fellow operators, it was virtually impossible to work
many of them.

It was great to run across old friends, give some stations back East Montana
and meet some new folks!

'Til next time, Good DX & 73, Cal
