Comments:

Conspicuously not heard here tonight were K4BAI, K7SS, N9CK and a few others,
but nice to connect with Kelly/VE4XT four times! Heard Ted/W4NZ but think this
is the first time in an NS we didn't have at least one QSO.

Mults were way down for me tonight, but it was nice to hear 20m open. Jim/N3BB
was loud during our 0249 UTC QSO on that band so hopefully more folks will stick
around on 20 longer next week.

I finished putting up my Sigma 40-XKR (temporarily) next to the driveway at
0215 UTC hoping that might be an improvement over the 28ft low 40m inverted vee
but not much difference it seemed when switching back and forth a few times.

Paul/NG7Z has been louder since putting up his 2el 40m yagi, so maybe I can cut
some kind of deal with the neighbors to put up the 402CD (NIB) stored in the
garage and get the used MA-770 off the ground next to the fence and in the air.
Ahhhh...the stuff NS dreams are made of :-)

After 2 weeks off I forgot to double check after the Confuzer reboot and didn't
notice that WriteLog was not tracking with the rigs, so I must put together a
formal checklist to run down *before* the checkered flag drops. Too many
Senior Moments tonight, like trying to use the A3 on 80m and the 40m inv vee on
160m. Fortunately with 100w I didn't blow anything up. I'm long overdue to put
my band decoders back in the food chain to eliminate having to manually change
both the bandpass filters *and* the Six Pak switches when moving to new bands.

73 & Tnx for all the Q's...

Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
