Fared better than last year -- conditions were about as low as they go, but at
least activity felt good enough to put in a few hours this time. Mostly a
domestic contest from here.
Where was Europe? Heard an EA briefly on 20M, but couldn't get his attention
from this far west, and heard nothing deeper than that. Also not a single AF
station heard, so the continent count stayed at 4.
Worked only JM1XCW for AS (he's often heard on 20M well ahead of an Asia
opening here). Really wanted to get a 10-pointer run into JA but conditions
(flux at 68) just didn't let that happen.
Thanks to KH6GMP for OC, and to HC2GF and PR5Z who were the only SA stations
worked.
Did find ZM2A and ZL1BYZ on 20M on Saturday night, when the band was otherwise
shut down.
Have to specially thank W7EWG for my only 80M contact, and the U.S. country
mult. Band was extremely noisy and no other stations were heard there on
Saturday night.
