Comments:

The August running of the CW NAQP is always a part-time effort on my part due to
a conflict with the Austin Hamfest. It's a challenge to do both the Summerfest
and the NAQP considering the three hour drive from my home QTH but attendance
at the Summerfest is always fun and gives me a chance to recruit operators for
the Texas QSO Party (September 27-28 this year, hope you can play). Also this
year was the first offering of the KCDXC CW Pileup contest at Summerfest and I
just couldn't pass up the opportunity to emabarass myself with another mediocre
score. Thanks, anyway to W5ZL and N0RB for organizing this event. 

Finally arriving back home a little after 2200Z I fired up the rig only to find
poor conditions on 20M with very weak signals and not many of them. Forty meters
turned out to be somewhat better so I moved there around 0030Z and stayed until
about 0400Z when I found myself just staring at the screen bleary-eyed. A short
rest on the bed in the shack was in order. Of couse when I woke up around 0605Z
the bands were quiet!
