Comments:

This was FUN! Last year I was working barefoot in this contest and to my
surprise did very well. It turned out that I surprised many others as well and
a kind of disbelief cloud hang above my effort. So I decided to go limited HP
(700W) this time to sort of defend myself before those in doubdt. I had
absolutely the same setup - one single boom 5 band antenna on 30 mh tower, one
radio (don't have extra antennas for the 2nd one yet) and a small power
amplifire of 2 x GU72. I can't use a bigger one due to severe TVI. So, the
score speaks for itself and I am happy with the outcome! CNDX were interesting
and wierd. The radio blackout on the 2nd day seemed to be a local phenomenon,
since Europians and NA had a blast on HF at the same time. I wouldn't be
surprised if they had launched a "PROTON" or something at Baikonur in Kazakh on
Sunday afternoon.
