Where are the sunspots?
At the half way point I had 321 Qs. In the next 12 hours made 95 more.
On 15 only worked 3 other VEs, 2-VE3 and local HQ station.
120 total Qs with G. 20-96, 40-24, 80-8. None on 15 or 10. All 80 meter G and
all except 3 of the 40 meter contacts made by beaming SW from here just before G
sunrise. Signal bouncing off southern aurora? The three 40 meter short path G
contacts made 1.5 - 2 hours before local sunset. After sunset the 40 meter
band totally closed to the east.
Pleased to have nine 5 banders. Local HQ stn, 5-VK4, 2-ZL1, 1-ZL2.

When I moved to this QTH in 1974 it was really quiet. Now with more
development around me the bands are starting to be covered in birdies from
plasma TVs, power cubes, under counter lights and who knows what. On 20 I
really had trouble with signals that were covered by these things. Apologise
to those I just could not pull out of all the garbage.
