Club: Young Amature Contest Ham Team

Comments:

Thanks to the DAR Boys and Girls Club for hosting this for the Young Amature
Contest Ham Team (YACHT). In all, there were 6 kids and 5 control operators.
The adults in attendance were Ed (KG8CX), Jim (KS8O),Andy (N9QPJ), Paul (NS8V),
and John (K9KI). Adults did very little of the contesting.
  The youngsters on board ranged from 7 years old up to 12 years old. They were
the following.
Hunter (K8MBI), Neil (KC9MLD), and currently unlicensed Austin, Kody, his twin
brother Kyle,and Matt who is the very accomplished contester at 7 years old.
All and all, the kids did a great job and had a lot of fun. Thanks to all the
stations who we spoke and a special thanks to the hams that stopped their
operation to ask how old the operator is and complimenting them on their good
work.
