Comments:

Congrats to all the super achievers tonight with the awesome scores and mult
counts. Fellow NCCC'er W0YK cleaned my clock (way to go, Ed).

Had a blast at Visalia and there were a LOT of Contesters there. Last week I
suggested all NS folks plan to attend next year. That would be a hoot.

I had a super nice eyeball chat with N7ZG and N7WA at Visalia about remote
station site stuff, but didn't realize N7WA was actually Mr. 3830 (Dink) until
after returning home. Gheeeez. I would have paid the bar tab for Guy and Dink
all weekend since we all benefit so much from the 3830 reporting system. Next
year!

N6RO has always said NOT to make any rig, etc. changes before a contest. At 3
minutes before the NS started, I was still madly trying to upload the latest
version of TR4W to the remote Confuzer and was feeling overwhelmed, with the
result being up out-of-sync the whole night. Apologies to those who
experienced my major QLF delays again with the keyboard issues. I had planned
to practice some nuances in TR4W at least 15 minutes before the NS started, but
that didn't happen.

The last 3 days have been spent with the dozer guy doing Locust Peak road
repair work and dozing off deep potholes on the long road in from civilization
down in the canyon. If you ever have thoughts about an off-grid remote site
with road access challenges, TALK TO ME FIRST !!! We also created a new very
steep bypass road to mitigate the high shear cliff Indiana Jones Territory
portion of the 1.3 mile road that always craps out with rockslides. I've
nicknamed it Roller Coaster Hill (

SteppIR MonstIR budget {SIGH}.

Every week N9RV seems to keep jacking up the WPM rate ... I love it, Pat :^)

73 & Tnx for all the Q's & Mults...

Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
