Comments:

My personal best in this contest. Usually I have very high noise levels on 160
but this time there were periods of relative quiet, if you can call S5 noise
quiet. One thing I tried was to use my shortened 80 meter inverted-vee as a
receive antenna transmitting with the Alpha-Delta 60' sloper. The receive was
much quieter but so were the signals and I was unable to pull out the weaker
signals using the 80m antenna. So eventually I reverted to using only the
sloper and putting up with the noise.
