Comments:

A couple of inches of wet snow & ice put an early end to my efforts.  I was
noticing unusually high SWR and difficulty being heard late Saturday
afternoon...almost like my antenna was on the ground.  When I ran out for
dinner, there was my longwire lying on the ground.  So that was that.  I
thought about running QRP and seeing how many stations I could work with half
the length of my antenna buried in the snow but decided there were better ways
to spend a Saturday night.  Too bad.  Conditions seemed better Saturday than
Friday.  Had very high noise level Friday night.
