Wrote several times in the notes file: "EVERY QSO IS A STRUGGLE".

Clearly, propagation did not favor FL this time. That, combined with the line
noise issue, made for a very long weekend. Already received two e-mails of the
"heard you fine, but you couldn't hear me" variety. Sorry! Stuck it out to
lead the FCG charge.

Never even heard HC8GR the first day. Condx seemed closer to "normal" on day
two, but no real dedicated E-skip. Seemed like we got little snippets of
action, but others had the larger slices. A quick read of the initial posts
indicates that many had a late E-skip flurry, but not us this time. We had a
great 2008 10-Meter Contest, so we're glad that others can experience the fun
and joy of solid openings.

Missed W7 completely until mid Sunday when a few AZ were logged. Got one MT
and one WA later. VE5ZX with 20 minutes left was a pleasant surprise, but
missed the rest of VE except Ontario.

CQed 10,700 times. Worked a flurry of FCGers at the start and 100 2nd VFO
QSOs. So, that means that it took over 23 CQs for each of the other 464 QSOs.

First contest in forever with no hour over 60 QSOs. See below...

Worked 105 FL stations on CW, so we were all poised and waiting for the band to
open!
Only 2 MN and 6 CA.

Happy Holidays to all! See you on the bands in 2010!
