Despite attractive opportunities, I opted to see what I could do on a tough
band from my small station. At first blush, not a smart decision.  Working
equally hard from here for half the score available from, say, K0RF doesn't
sound too appealing. The flip-side was that QSO's and multipliers that I would
take for granted from the wonderful stations I'm usually blessed to operate
were a veritable thrill from home. I pretty-much exceeded what I thought was
possible from here & it was great fun to push that as far as I could.  Thanks
to the EU & JA / Asian stations who heard me--every QSO brought a smile!  And
thanks to my neighbors for not forming a lynching-party (yet!)...
