Comments:

I have to admit, I had a great time in this contest. January in the northeast
has never been a great place to be. Most of my operation has been roving and
portable. The portable site is an 8 hour drive. Getting to the hilltop last
winter required chains, long underwear and lots of coffee. This year was the
beginning of a new age for me. I operated from the beach shack in a far warmer
climate... (Florida). My station is now completely controlled through the
Internet. All transmitting and receiving equipment are back in the deep freeze
of the northeast.

Conditions were as most have already pointed out. Poor on Saturday and Fair
Sunday evening. My best DX was K4LY on 144 at 516 miles. I did not catch any of
the e-skip on 6.

The only problem with equipment involved CW. It did not work as planned. I
guess I was sending RF OK but the dots and dashes were all gibberish by the
time they made it to the antenna. All QSO's made were made on SSB. Future plans
include WSJT and making the CW work. I guess adding more bands is on the to do
list as well.

Thanks to all who worked me.

73, Stan
