Comments:

I actually changed my mind last minute to run assisted to practice SO2R and get
get the hang of switching a lot between bands and rigs with the software. I
made a rookie move and really didn't go over the software settings well in
advance and suffered the first 12 hours stumbling with software and not getting
much use of the 2nd radio, I won't make that mistake again. I have to say that I
never imagined I would work what I worked when I worked it! There were only a
few hours during the day that I did not work a JA and I even worked a JT1CO @
1647z 12:47PM EST! I also missed the 15m opening on Sat AM but I did however
work G6PZ and CU3HQ on 10m. 15m was in pretty good shape on sat afternoon and
evening, working most of the US, SA and Carrib as well as a booming call from
NH7O which was a nice surprise. I also wanted to congratulate the huge scores
from the SOAB unassisted guys and to the K1LZ crew FB scores! Additionally,
nice job to WK1Q (KM1K?), I was watching him all weekend on getscores and he
and I would flip flop back and forth in score, you kept me very motivated OM!
in the end it looks like he got me by ~200K points, good job! This year was
the first time in almost 15 years since I went to Dayton and what a great time,
it was pleasure meeting a lot of you in person and having a few beers :) I also
recommend K3LR's Contest University, if you are new to contesting or seasoned
Vet I think you will walk away with a lot. All the teaches were FB and it was
truly a great time, thanks guys. Let me wrap it up again by thanking my host
W2RE for letting me use his station for the contest, always a pleasure! And of
course the most important women in my life my wife Andrea and my two Daughters
Avery (5) and Lea (3) for letting daddy play radio for the weekend!

See you in the fall!
