Comments:
Before I say a few comments about this year WWCW I would like to point out that
we've been going through a dramatic changes considring our ham radio lifes.
Some 7 months ago we had to leave the contest location that we had successfully
used for many years.
We were lucky to become owners of a new one, but the down side was that we had
to build everything from the scratch, because where we've started from was a
bare field.
A day before the contest started and during the contest we were unlucky with
the weather conditions. Wet and heavy snow chrushed 80m vertical and the
electrical characteristics of yagi antennas were changed big time.
The up side was, that all the equipment worked fluentlly without a single
glitch.
A G0KSC 15m OWA stack, and 10m G0KSC OWA performed outstanding. We where also
pleasently suprised that 120 countries on 80m could be worked with a horizontal
dipol @ 20m with no beverages :-)
All in all, we enjoyed the contest very much. We all agreed that hours spent in
this contest seems like minutes and one coluld totally lost track of time.
It look's like, a WRTC competiton made M1 category terrifying. A number of
great EU teams participated it, for that reason.
In behalf of 9A7A team
Sam, 9A3OS
