Comments:

Well, I had a blast this year, since my last participations was 5 years ago,
and my claimed score (same category) was:

Band QSOs Mults
-------------------
   CW: 249 44
  SSB: 235 58
-------------------
Total: 484 102 Total Score = 149,532

What were the differences besides solar flux?

1.- No complaining attitude, being grateful for whatever propagation may
happen(80%)
2.- Using monobanders (2) instead of a Multiband beam. (20%)

DAY 1
I started on CW with 29 QÂ's on the first hour, 19 on the second and 16 on the
3rd hour.
Then, at 0250z the band became dead.
Nevertheless, it was very productive because I had the chance to work, VK9,
E51, JA1, FO8,
VK4, V31, VP5 stations (most of them called me).

So, I went with XYL to watch some TV, returning several times to the shack to
check the band,
with no activity detected, until I heard a CO station that was promptly worked.

Nothing else was heard, so went to bed.

I woke up at 1300z and worked a meager 4 stations during the next 2 hours.
One of them -XE2YWH, surprised me because (beside the multiplier) he is behind
the Mountains,
about 50 miles north of my location. Perhaps, mountain diffraction? or
backscatter?

Saturday 1500z, QSOs started to come rapidly and climbing for the next 6 hours
which allowed
me to bag 233 QÂ's. Just Interrupted by a couple of humanitarian breaks in
between and
getting beverages. At 1605 worked my only EU QSO (CT1DVV)

Then at 2119z, phone rang, it was an old old friend which happened to visit my
City by first time
since we met 35 years ago. Good old friends have priority. So, I turned off
the radio, took my XYL with me,
and went to a local restaurant for a lunch together. After this, my friend and
his family
went shopping to the city and almost 2 hours later, I was at the shack again.
So, at the end of Day 1 at 2359Z: 308 Q’s (196 CW, 114 SSB).

DAY 2
Sunday, 0000z to0300z sustained decent rates, managing 167 QÂ's until band
closed at 0323z.
One thing I noticed is that most of the contacts worked around 0200z were at
floor noise level.

Again went to bed, fell asleep profoundly, and started very late at 15:10z,
apparently I did not miss something big, because there were very few signals
worked. The band opened late, and started pouring until 17:00z.
This time propagation was better than day 1 and it ramped up much better,
reaching a peak around 2000z. Then at 2200z it began to drop off rapidly. So, I
switched to phone because I had a multipliers shortage on this mode.
Around 2300z, things slowed down on phone and I was preparing to go back to CW,
when all of the sudden, the gates opened again on SSB, and stayed there, until
the finish with 70 QÂ's. This was a stroke of luck, because, on this last hour
I bagged eight SSB multipliers (6 US states and 2 VE provinces).

Day 2 numbers: 545 QÂ's (263 CW, 282 SSB).
