Comments:

Thanks to the Czech Radio Club for sponsoring the Contest.

Appreciate all the contacts made in the Contest.

Too much happening due to the up-coming holidays. Wasn't able to spend as much
time as wanted. Had two of the grandchildren spend the night as their parents
were at Christmas party. The grandkids wear me out. Only able to start
contesting at 0300Z and then stopped (got tired) at 0600Z.

Starting strategy was to concentrate on 80m and leave 40m for later in the day.
Fortunately, 80 seemed to be in good shape with good participation. Again, got
too tired to do more than the three hours from 0300Z to 0600Z. Didn't get a
chance to return to contesting until 1500Z (after the grandkids went home).

Once got back to contesting, started on 15 m around 1500Z. However, 15 seemed
to close to Europe after an hour.

Went to 20 m and the band was active with a number of good signals. However,
after a couple of hours a loud, intermittent noise showed up all across the
band. Interesting to find it the strongest when ant. pointed to Europe.
Probably some holiday decoration acting up. After about an hour it quit and I
got back to operating. By then 20 m didn't have the same high level of
activity. Switched to 40 m.

Forty meters was a very good band as Europe was strong throughout the remainder
of the Contest.

Still seeing a number of new calls showing up which is great.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2011,
  Mike, K4GMH
