Comments:
We had about 30 inches of snow starting Friday morning thru 3 PM Saturday; life
is far from normal, snow piles about 8 ft high at work and 5 ft high around my
drieway. Roads are all "washboard" ice/snow covered; salt is not in the
vocabualry of the Dept of Highaways, costs too much! The good news is that work
is in a hospital, a 24/7 operation and it was my weekend off, so why not
contest?
The mobile acitivity was outstanding; Minnesotans are a hardy bunch! The snow
was 2 ft deep (roads probably clear) up in northen MN per one guy worked. Maybe
I may be a bit old-fashoined, but the mbolies giving their calls more often
would help. I should have made a list of names/calls because I couldn't
remember all of the 9 CW mobiles' first names, most were N0's to compound my
mental fog. Sigs on 40 from the mobiles were very weak on 40 for about 3 hours
from 17-20Z. More 20M action would have helped; 20 was in good shape to MN from
here with huge sigs 20-22Z.
Thanks for all of the miles driven and the counties to the following mobiles!
