Comments:

I had a blast in this contest. The improved solar conditions made
for a great time on 15 meters. As a little gun station, I'll take whatever
solar help I can get. There were lots of new callsigns, both foreign
and domestic, making their way into the log during this contest. No contacts
were made on 10 meters, though I could hear some very weak RTTY
on Saturday that my software couldn't quite decode.

A quick complaint: I don't know how many times I had to correct someone to
tell them that my callsign is AE5PW, not AE5P. I had to send AE5P an email
to let him know that he is getting credit for alot of my QSOs! I blame this
on
the supercheck partial databases. Many stations got to endure my "my callsign
is AE5PW AE5PW AE5PW AE5PW" macro, and even then they called me
AE5P when they closed with me. They ended up NIL.

The station here is a Yaesu FT950 with a Butternut HF9V ground-mounted
vertical, running 100 watts. After each contest I am amazed at what
such a simple setup can do, and this contest was no exception.

Let's hope for more sunspots and a higher solar flux as the year goes
on.
