Great to have some conditions on the high bands, 10 was very close to opening
up, but didn't quite make it. I've been putting off finishing off the 10 meter
antenna system due to other priorities, but we'll need it done by next season.

The team is really coming together and we've added E78WW and N2WK to the 20
meter group. Wayne (N2WK) gave us an overnight 20 meter op for the first time.
The 40 group has been together for a couple of years now, and our scores are
coming up in what used to be our toughest band.

After no JA on 160 the first nite, I put up an additional polar beverage on
Saturday. We got 3 JA in the log that night. We knew we were weaker in that
direction and will add a more permanent solution for next season.

I can't say enough about the overall effect of the K3s. Not only does it have
the excellent receiver, but the integration into our station has eliminated all
of the extra computer cables and external keyers. We key directly through the
Serial Cable from N1MM at all stations. Plug a paddle into the radio for when
you need it, interlock cable between the radios. Our technical issues with
radios and computers are nearly zero during the contest now, so next year, I'm
going to pencil myself back into the chair....

Congrats to K3LR for a nice win this year.

Jeff - W2FU
