Comments:
What a great group of guys who came to operate this weekend. Thanks to all for
coming and to the wives who gave their blessing for a weekend away working the
radio contest in Harrison, AR - 30 minutes south of Branson, MO.
EVERYONE did an outstanding team effort of working the bands to achieve our
best score ever in this contest. As a matter of fact I believe the QSO total
is the highest we have ever had on 4 bands (80, 40, 20 and 15) in either ARRL
or CQ WW.
It looked like everyone in the world was excited to see the new sunspot cycle
bring good conditions to 15M and at times the European pileup was huge.
Looking forward to both 15 and 10M in about 2 years. We will be prepared next
time with better antennas. This time we used a single rotatable Yagi at 90
feet. We have another S unit to achieve by next year.
Although 10M did not open like 15M we were excited when we worked CR2X and when
K0OU pulled JA3YBK out of the noise to cmplete WAC :-).
Although everyone helped where needed on each band to maximize the results, the
primary operators by band as I recall were:
160M - K0NI + K5GO
80M - N5RR + K5GO + K9BGL + K0NI
40M - K0AP + KM5G
20M - K0RO + N5DX + K0OU + K0VBU
15M - K9BGL + K0OU + K0VBU
10M - K0OU + KM5G
Station:
160M - Omni 6, AL-1500, 70 foot shunt fed tower with reflector for Europe
80M - IC-7800, IC-765, 3-1000Z, 4 Square
40M - K3, IC-765, AL-1500, 5L Yagi, 3 element Quad (switchable NW/SE)
20M - K3, IC-765, AL-1500, 8/8 (fixed on Europe), 6L Yagi, 4L (fixed SE)
15M - IC-765, AL-1500, 7L Yagi, 4L (fixed SE)
10M - IC-765, AL-1200, 6L Yagi
All antennas are homebrew. More details on the station can be seen at

Thanks for all the contacts from all over the world. Logs will be loaded to
LOTW soon.
I hope everyone enjoys every aspect of this hobby as much as I enjoy it.
