Comments:

Great fun! Poor prop and no QRN the first night...great prop and bad QRN the
second. Here are 160 comparisons to the multi-multis:

W3LPL 400/73
K3LR 393/74
KC1XX 301/69
KM1W 404/67

Getscores.org had KM1W (@W1KM QTH) at 230/57 the first day and I was at 172/55,
so conditions must have favored me the second day (in spite of the nose). Total
QSOs were close to last year's record but for some reason multipliers were well
down.

I'm not sure which of these was the most exciting:

1. Working 5 UA9 stations the second day! Normally just one is cause for
major excitement in this contest. UA9MA in an email told me he worked
something like 16 different states which must surely be a record for z17.

2. Working 5 QRP stations! F5MUX the first night and DLl7HU, OK2BYW, HA8BE
and GM3OXX the second night. I almost made it with OK2BYW the first night but
couldn't pull through his power. Thanks to his persistence we made it the
second night.

This year I used my Beverages for one side of diversity in the K3 and a new RX
4SQ in the other side. I also used the Sub RX a lot more for tuning the band
when things were slow on my run frequency. After a year of experience with
N1MM I can now do this without making lots of mistakes like I did last year.

I have a gut feeling I may be back on 10 meters at this time next year. The
past few years have been great on 160 but maybe it's time to get the 10m
3-stack ready to go for next season.

Thanks to everyone for your patience with me, especially in the QRN the second
night!

73, Bill W4ZV
