Comments:

Great band conditions. When the contest opened 15 meters was open to South
America, the South Pacific, and Japan at the same time. I've never seen that in
my four years as a ham. Got a few multipliers on 10 meters -- that was a first
for myself as well. I improved my score by 65% over last year. 

I had to deal with my first EU pileup. That was sweet for a change -- I've
never got a run going into Europe until now. I thought Sweepstakes pileups were
rough -- there's worse! Have a dozen weak EU stations coming in at once and
throw in that watery, auroral flutter and I have a new challenge. Good training
ground for the November sweepstakes. 

I was called by about 100 North American stations. Everytime I replied with a
polite "W0? VY1 is not DX, 73". I really get this when I'm trying to run to the
caribbean. I guess its because VY1 borders KL7.

Fun contest. Hopefully the band conditions continue to improve over the next
few years.
