Picked 20 because sunspot number had dropped to 21,it went back up to about 32
on Sunday.   One band is enough to concentrate on for me as at least there is a
hope of some sleep and important consideration for an OT.  Yet it is easier to
stay alert and excited if there are plenty of stations to work.   Long periods
between QSOs sap energy.  

The band was in good condition but far to crowded perhaps because 15 and 10
were not open the whole time though of course 15 did open.   Splattering is
sadly not limited to the old AM stations and one suspects some do it
intentionally; oh well we rely on honesty and decency.

It is unfortunate that there are not more stations active from Latin America
and Africa.   

I found conditions pretty good with runs into JA on both mornings.   It is
encouraging to see the increasing activity from BY land.   

I am most grateful for those who gave me QSOs and those who gave provided
country and prefix multipliers.   In general I found that in runs when one
called a given station the others kept silent.   People are pretty polite.   On
occasion one found the run frequency being encroached on but the band is just
full of stations.   Some of the problem is caused by changing band conditions
and also the rotation of antennas.   You just try and get on with it.

I wish people would leave long special call signs for use outside of contests
and wonder what in the world is the need for appending /QRP to a call sign in a
contest.   Yes, I guess this is another cranky old man though age also brings
contentment and happiness.   This contest certainly left me feeling well.

One trick I use is to stay away from the Extra portion of the band and go up
into the General class band when working runs of W land stations.   There are a
number of General class calls in my log that might not be there otherwise.   The
portion of the twenty meter band below the US phone band can also be handy for
hunting DX without so much competition. 

Thanks to CQ and all the good people who took part in this contest.   Next
weekend a short period on 10 and at month end the good CQWW CW during which my
voice can rest.   Best of all the 160M CW CQWW test is yet to come!!!   My sub
to CQ will be kept up because of these excellent contests.   ARRL DX can be a
good deal of fun but world wide contests are more interesting for most outside
