Comments:

Completely lucked out with a 10 over S9 noise because it waited until Sunday
night to return (had been on every night previous).  If it would have come on
as normal I would have bolted.

Conditions in the Midwest could not have been any better except maybe for 40
going pretty long early.  No QRN and good 80 meter conditions.  

I force myself to operate this contest as prep for CQWW and two radio.  The
first night is fun but Sunday is just a slough (although good SO2R practice)
and this year was a let down from last year. I took a half hour break, got on
for 10 minutes got 3 Q's and took another break around 1800z.   Numbers for me
were down over 100 Q's from last year, I think the ARRL promotion really helped
last year.  Not that many new checks/calls.  Too bad-we have to keep promoting. 


Had a weird thing happen-I broke the F1 key on my keyboard.  The cap came just
came off and I could never get it back on.  It's only lasted for about 1M+
hits.  

Lot's of QRP and QRPp stations out there (almost too many).  It's one thing to
run QRP but some QRP'ers seem to run indoor antennas for added misery.  Some
this is their only option and we appreciate your efforts.  In this category
congrats to K2GMY who called me early Sunday morning on 40 and all I could get
was his call.  He called me later on and I got the exchange-good operating!
