Comments:

Up and down conditions were the norm here for me this weekend. I did not start
at the 'beginning of the normal start time and was going to pound out a 100 QSO
minimum which toward the end of Sunday afternoon was proving to be more than a
challenge for me.

Saturday night after sunset, I thought that I should give 40m a look but had no
great summertime hopes. The shadow of evening was yet to hit us and sunrise was
on a lot of EUs so I managed only 5 stations to hear my calls - getting the
serial number passed to them was even harder. Static crashes seemed to abound
taking out a dit here and a dah there causing numereous repeats to get the
number heard at all on the EU end. But a 9A, DL, EA, I and and S5 were
certainly appreciated as they were all mults.

15m seemed much better Saturday morning here than on Sunday. This was a back
and forth thing with 20m and only a couple of times was I able to find a thin
spot to call CQ and pick up some EU Sunday drivers which helped push the score
above the 20K Mark.

As someone else has remarked, the EUs copying ability with all the QTCs is to
be commended as this contest is not just a simple slam/bang thing for them if
they wanted to amass a bigger score.
